They come in threes

Posted by 1troy3 on January 19, 2007

Shed blew over, fence is in shreds and the MR2 brakes are sticking. Any more for any more?

Hoping to get to And’s preview this weekend and see the boys but may struggle if I can’t get the car fixed.

But Mort is in Oxford so I think a gathering is planned for Saturday.

Matt tells me the album is finished so really looking forward to hearing that. It apparently gets a big push next week so good luck with that. I’ll flag it up on iTunes when it’s all there.

Hey, I’m sick of this weather. Can we have something different please.

Council tax and sandwiches

Posted by 1troy3 on January 5, 2007

Here it is then, 2007 – doesn’t taste much different to 2006 does it.

I tried to get into the spirit by packing away the Christmas decoration (singular) but I’m still hopelessly trapped in the 20th Century. I should get modern… and start listening to Jay Zed.

It’s going to be an interesting year when I’m uncoupled from my employment of the last nine years. I am concerned of course, and keen to get the mortgage down to little or nothing. Then, as my colleague Dan so wonderfully put it: “All you need is money for council tax and sandwiches.”

So I’m restocking Troy Towers wth crates of beans, candles, blankets and a year’s supply of coconut macaroons. And I’m in the market for car cleaning, gardening and running errands. (Hard worker, very reasonable rates, speaks English and Herefordian – apply within).

I really am hoping that I will have more quality time with friends and family so when I’m not toiling in the paddy field which used to be the back garden I am threatening to visit you!

Back in the shire this weekend if anyone’s about.

And Morten is here working at Jet in a couple of weeks. Not sure we’ll have the opportunity to get out but I’ll post up details of a walk window if it’s possible.
