Home on the range

Went to visit a perfect house in Herefordshire last week – 10 acres in a quiet corner of the county, and right over the long-distance path. It was ideal but I’m short of 700K to get it. I suppose I’ll just have to look harder for the right plot and build my own.
Enjoyed the trip to the folk festival even though it isn’t what it used to be, and managed to dash down to my favourite part of the Gower. And the company was excellent of course.
Getting weary of people telling me how I should be running my life or pouring cold water on my ideas. I seem to recall a similar lobby queueing up to tell me I’d never make it into journalism, or on to a national …or write a book.
Yes you can is all I’m interested in hearing.
I’ve made an extensive Irisk folk compilation for And – if you want a copy let me know. Bit of an acquired taste but hey, it’s free. But if you like something, go buy the albums and support the creative folk who make a living from entertaining you.
Looking forward to more socials this autumn.

Ah, the voice of optimism Sue.
I will furnish you with the aforementioned CD on my next trip to the Shire.
